I’m a technician for houston laptop repair company Nerds Next Door. And I’ve put together the ultimate road warrior kit.

1. You have to have a good tool kit. I use a kit from Radio Shack that is around $30.

2. GPS. I found a refurbished Magellan 4250 for $120. I can’t live without it.

3. A 10″ Netbook with 9 hour battery life. Sometimes you just can’t get to an outlet and you have to look up an answer real quick.

4. A Verizon wireless internet card. Once again, just what you need for your road outings.

5. A case of around 30-40 different DVD/CD’s of operating systems and utilities, etc.

Still building my list, but this is what I have so far and it’s working for me.
