Training in Samurai Iaido Practise
One of the most mysterious and exotic of the martial arts forms, Japanese Samurai Iaido Techniques are fascinating to explore and discover. The act of removing, using and replacing the sword as fluidly as possible, makes the practised student of the art a delight to watch. While learning the technique, a student will use a wooden blade, or a bokken. Only after extensive training, may the highly disciplined samurai use the Samurai katana. Proper technique focuses more on fluidity of movement, along with strict discipline of character and correct attitude. Ultimately, it is a spiritual training of the mind rather than a combative art.
