She Opted for Specialized Training
When my sister went back to school, she decided to pursue a specific trade and skip all the busy work that she had experienced in two years of college. She went to a career oriented tech school. They had the program that she was interested in and also a lot of other opportunities as well. They even helped the graduates with job placement when they got ready to graduate. Many of the students had gone on to successful computer and dental hygienist careers, for example. They had contacts in all the fields that they trained for, so were able to offer a more inside track than just a normal college.
