Old Swedish Literature- Studies show that the most ancient literature of Sweden was from Rök Runestone. It was carved during the Viking age in 800 A.D. A lot of radical changes took place when christians arrived in the place and imposed their culture on the people of the land. Some key figures in Swedish literature includes Georg Stiernhielm, considered to be the first person who wrote classical poetry; Johan Henric Kellgre, the first person to write fluent Swedish prose; Carl Michael Bellman, a ballad writer; August Strindberg, a playwright who won world fame.IN modern times, there are also a lot of Swedish writers who made thier way into the world.
