It seems inevitable that when a person seriously takes an interest in learning photography, the inevitably seem to go through certain phases.

Phase one is where they go crazy with their camera and photograph everything that can see.

Phase two is where they got back the results of phase one, decided they sucked, and began to specialize a little bit. In this phase, you see a lot of themed images, such as flowers, pets, skies, flags and generic landscapes.

In phase three, they begin to realize that everyone else has already done that stuff, and they start trying to find some way to differentiate their work from that of everyone else.
