Last week my dad just got back from a long and far away business trip from across the country on the west coast of the US. We were all so happy to see him, and I wanted to treat him to a good night out of eating to welcome him home. I talked it over with Mom, and we drove out to the nearest Brooklyn Soul Food restaurant. When Dad asked what Brooklyn Soul Food was, I just said “You’ll find out soon enough” with a smile. When our steaming order arrived, he hastily took a first bite. He loved it so much, that we now eat there consistently!
