Audiobooks Open Up A New World
Audiobooks are becoming a very popular way of “reading” books. They are very popular with elderly people and the blind. It can open up a whole new world to them which they might not otherwise be able to access. Not all books are put into brail, so blind people often miss out on a lot of what they are interested in. The same can be said of the elderly, who are not always able to hold books in their hands due to arthritis or weakness in their hands or arms. Audiobooks are easy to access and don’t require any fancy computer software to run. They can be rented at the library or bought from the local book shop - many more book shops are discovering that there is indeed a growing market for audio books.
