Wiel Arets designer of Allesi coffee cups and other items
The creator of this sure success is Dutchman Wiel Arets, a multi-faceted designer who has already completed a series of important projects. The first major operation involving Arets and the Crusinallo-based company dates back to 2003, with the silver tea and coffee set named "Tea & Coffee Towers". Last year, Alessi’s second design programme for the bathroom, "ILBAGNOALESSI Dot", was presented in cooperation with Swiss company Laufen Bathrooms and Finnish company Oras. But it was the "mix.it" hand blender, presented in autumn 2007, that opened the path for the small electrical appliances created by Wiel Arets.
