Never pay fully for a job not finished
Never pay a contractor for the whole job before it is finished. Otherwise, like my friend, you might find him still working in your home long after the job should have been finished. Unfortunately, he did not even install a hood over her stove. This applies to kitchens in large companies also. Then you would of need commercial extractor fans. Either way they should always be installed over stoves. I would have hauled the person into court. It is ridiculous to be taking forever to finish a job, but she had paid him already. This was her second mistake; the first was not hiring the man I recommended to her. He would have been done and gone already. She would have had her furniture out of storage and in her house by now.
