There are two kitchen countertops that I consider to be a modern kitchen countertop. Stainless steel is one of them. Stainless steel is great for heavy use kitchens and commercial purposes. Do I think it has its place in a residence. Loaded question.

I don’t terribly like the look of stainless for a warm and inviting kitchen. If you like the look of stainless steel countertops than go for it.

I do like the look and the durability of quartz countertops as my second modern kitchen countertop. Quartz countertops are extremely durable and more than tough enough for even the most busy residential kitchen. The look and feel of quartz is warm and inviting. Not cold and commercial feeling like stainless steel.
