It’s as Easy As Pie
Leftover chicken is great to use in chicken casserole recipes. Last night, I created my own version of Shepard’s pie, but instead of beef, I used chicken. I took a casserole and put some leftover chicken in it. Then I added some gravy, some leftover cooked carrots, and some peas. I took some leftover mashed potatoes and spread them on top of the casserole. I covered the dish and baked it in the oven on 350 degrees for about forty minutes. Just before I took the casserole out of the oven, I removed the cover and browned the mash potatoes under the broiler for a couple of minutes. My creation was delicious and my family really enjoyed it.
