There are few things more crushing than being told by the person you love that they don’t love you anymore and they are leaving. When a relationship has been going badly it is tough but when it hits you completely out of the blue sky it is devestating and all you want to do is win your ex back so you can be together again.

It may become the whole focus of your life, win ex back, but life has to go on and you cannot spend all of your time trying to figure out how to get your ex partner back again. That is not to say it is impossible.

It may be that if you can get together for a sensible and civilized discussion you can sort out some of the things that led to the breakup.
