One of the best ways to relieve stress is simply to stop worrying about things that you cannot control. Every day we worry about a whole host of different things but it is important to be able to distinguish between those things that you can control and those that you cannot. For example, It is okay to worry about gaining weight because you can do something about this and simply cut down on your eating and take more exercise to solve the problem. However, there is not much point in worrying about whether or not it is going to rain at the weekend and spoil your picnic because the weather is not within your control.
