From Tomatoes To Purple Corn
Probably the one food you’ve heard touted the most for being rich in antioxidants is tomatoes, which are best known for containing lycopene. There is another antioxidant-rich food, however, that you may not have heard of at all: South American purple corn. Purple corn is mostly found in Peru. The antioxidants present in the corn are thought to decrease the risk of all sorts of health issues, from cancer to heart disease, some of the biggest killers in developed countries. While you probably won’t find purple corn at your local supermarket, you may be able to find it in capsule form from a respected health or nutritional store.
