Deep voices rumbled, “The gods are with us.”    Commander Cronn paraded double the expected number, four warriors, before the council, detailing their extraordinary valor.  His scarred face twisted in triumph as he shouted, “I think the Romans finally understand that this is Caledonian land.”  The men cheered and hooted.    As commander after commander rose to recount the bravery of his warriors, Eston slipped in beside Taranis.  “You look as if we had suffered a defeat,” he said, folding his arms across his chest.  “What is Combat the Fat?”    Taranis glanced at his brother’s yellow and red tartan, stained from battle.
