Emergent Bio Solutions is the only, bio pharmaceutical company licensed, by the United Stated Food and Drug Administration, to manufacture the anthrax vaccine. Under the guidance of Fuad El-Hibri, they have been able to develop not only the vaccine, but are working on ways to prevent anthrax infections. They are using their pipeline of different programs to make sure this happens. The company also works on other diseases such as botulism, typhoid, tuberculosis, Chlamydia and hepatitis B. Most of these diseases are can be spread from person to person, especially if left unchecked. The company is hard at work on developing a preventative solution.
