Driving in Spain seems very different. Aside from the use of left hand drive cars and lhd 4×4’s and driving on the left side of the road, there are many things to be aware of. The laws are very strict and fines and license suspension can be enforced immediately on an offender by the police. The use of cell phones, headsets, or even hands-free phones is strictly prohibited. This includes even on the side of the road. You need to park somewhere completely off of a road to use these devices. There is a list of things you need to have in the vehicle or you can be fined, including an extra set of spectacles if you require them for driving.
