If you will be making a harp purchase soon — and Celtic harps in particular are on your list — then don’t forget that you will need some additional accessories to accompany your harp purchase. First of all, you will obviously need to purchase a set of replacement strings for your harp. The size and type that you need will depend upon the type of harp that you are going to buy — but you certainly don’t want to get stuck breaking a string and not having a replacement, so make sure that you purchase at least one full set of strings for your harp. In addition, if you will be moving your harp or traveling with it, you will also need to purchase a case for it — most of these that I have seen are constructed out of some type of nylon. Again, the type that you need will depend on the type and size of your harp. Your dealer can help you choose a carrying case that will fit properly.
